Brand new site!
Thursday Aug 28th, '08 @ 10:54pm
I've changed everything for the much better!

Welcome to the new PsyguyGames.com. The surface of the new site will belie the time and effort I spent architecting this new version, but nonetheless I think and hope that you will find it easily navigable and visually stimulating.

Check out the new Gallery system for some screenshots of the multitude of available themes. Simply register an account and you have access to nine of them! =) If you had an account before, it will still work!

I also have a newly-coded forum as part of the new site. I will be adding some more themes for it in the future; as of this moment, it has two theme options.

You might also notice the option to comment on journal updates as well. Feel free to leave a comment on what you think about the new design.

Keep an eye open for future updates; I will actually be working on some more games soon!
Happy 2008

I'd like to wish everyone a belated happy 2008. =)

I've lately been working on a new project in which I use ASCII characters to create all of the graphics. You can see a screenshot of the game in the Screenshots section. I also posted a short demo of the game on the forum in the 'Other Games' forum if you'd like to see how it's progressing so far. (Well, I might say! =))

In addition to serving as the engine to the current ASCII game, I will have the opportunity to use this engine for other games as well; this should help to shorten development time on future projects that I work on.
Site Redesign and Forum Launched
Thursday Sep 20th, '07 @ 4:22pm
Well, it might seem a bit ... crazy to have 2 out of the 3 most recent updates introduce a site redesign, but nonetheless I decided to update the look of the site a little bit. I've parted from the dropdown menus and gone with a different structure.

Mostly, I didn't completely like the code behind the previous page. I did a decent job and did create a validating webpage (just transitional though), but the time I spent putting together the new forum (we'll get to that in a second) helped me fine-tune my CSS knowledge; thus I decided that I didn't like all of the old code anymore. :P

As usual you'll see things here and there that I haven't finished yet. I might not have finished everything I wanted to on the previous design! :P

The forum also has a couple of small issues remaining, but most of those fall under the area of content as opposed to functionality. The forum has some cool features including various themes you can use. I encourage you to check it out! =)

On the gaming front, I've been spending a little time working on another Wii game, and I still work on the platformeRPG here and there. Hopefully in the not-too-distant future I can put together a demo of that for everyone to try out!
New Site Design; New Games!
Saturday May 19th, '07 @ 7:11pm
As you have surely noticed, I have redesigned the website. It actually didn't make much sense to have the whole site devoted to Lode Runner X, seeing as I had a couple of other games and was preparing to release more.

Speaking of more games: I've finally officially released two new games: Tetratris True and Lode Runner '07! You can read more about these and download them from the 'Games' menu at the top of the page.

Along with the new design comes a fair amount of new content on the site. For starters, I added a pretty extensive 'About Me' section under the 'Content' menu. I also added a Guestbook to the site. I'll probably let it double as a poor man's forum, because currently I don't have plans to add an actual forum.

You'll probably notice minor things here or there that seem slightly unfinished; I'll be working to resolve those very soon. Until then, enjoy the games!
New webhost!
Monday May 15th, '06 @ 10:31am
I've signed up with a new webhost, and I've also purchased a new domain name: www.psyguygames.com. If you're reading this you probably used that URL. :)

The old webhost will still be used for 'legacy' purposes; I'm not going to take it down, but I now consider if obselete.

Actually, aside from the new domain name, there isn't any real visible difference. That's a good thing, though!

(This also serves as a test update to make sure everything's working properly. I also just edited this last sentence in.)
